I started my third series in 2017 which was about the fragility of growth. I was

Inspired by change in my life at that time.

This is the start of the intentions for my project:


I wanted to make pieces which were full of life, which could echo a vibration of sound and create a sense of calmness and clarity. Colours which harmonised and recorded one of my memories in first person.

I've collected various materials such as stones and crystals and I wanted to use them to tell a story, which don't just carry a colour but a meaning. Some of these natural elements have a very deep personal connection with me for example: I've used pieces of gold given to me by my Dad, gold reminds me of the sun and the stars. As a result I recorded these inner thoughts to make sense of what drives me to create this artwork:


As the day light turns dark and the sky changes, I'm breathing.



Our blood lines are the ‘gods’ which watch over us.



Only the trees know our secrets, they hear everything.



Leaves fall, they want to give us a sign, as they spin and lose out of control, no one will know.



Love the skin you’re in, Love the world you live in, Love your culture, Love your home by finding where it is.

Finding my rock and my missing pieces. Seeing the devil before the rainbow. The silver lining.

Without the sky there would be no earth, there would be no water with no clouds, we are all the lands flowers we all grow up different, but one thing we share in common is we need the sun we need care in all forms, the way we live help shapes our identity. We are living, we are evolving, we need to help each other grow.

Sometimes we just need to listen to the silence, to understand.

When I was in Hull I was inspired by a piece by Larkin
“Friend of the fields.”

I translated this personally to:
we can’t do it alone. We will grow.

A different type of love.

I’m trying to see the light I have been shining.



The meaning of following my dreams.



I see mountains, cave, gold, crumbling.

Red is a friend
